5 best places to visit in Vietnam – A country full of Surprises
To choose the 5 best places to visit in Vietnam was so difficult for me, because this country is absolutely amazing and it has so much to do and to see. From raw jungles and stunning coastlines to natural UNESCO World Heritage sites and the most untouched places ever. It’s all there, only waiting people to come and visit…
5 best places to visit in Vietnam
Guys, you won’t find many more exciting countries than Vietnam. Vietnam is an awesome place in all aspects you can imagine. It has a very interesting history, the most incredible nature, you’ll visit the friendliest people ever, costs are low and you will get the best food you have ever eaten.
Honestly, it is one of my favourite countries. Maybe this has mainly something to do with the fact that I did a motorbike tour through the whole country, which was absolutely great. I just love Vietnam and everything it has to offer.
And this is why it was so hard to pick the 5 best places to visit in Vietnam.
Halong Bay has to be the first one from the 5 best places to visit in Vietnam. It is one of the 7 new natural world wonders of the world according to Wikipedia. It lies in the northeast of the country directly at the coast. Basically, Halong Bay is a huge number of big and very beautiful limestone rocks, which stand out of the ocean and firm a truely magical scenery. It’s insanely pretty.
You can visit it by booking a boat tour, which will most likely also take you to Cat Ba Island. During the tour you’ll also visit some very old caves, which have developed over millions of years.
Halong Bay is maybe the nr 1. spot to go to in this country and that’s why you have to put it on top of your list of the 5 best places to visit in Vietnam.
The 2nd point on the list of the 5 best places to visit in Vietnam is Dalat in my opinion. It is a really pretty little village in the south of the country. It lies in the mountains and it’s surrounded by big coffee farms, raw forests, clear rivers as well as lakes and very beautiful waterfalls.
Not that many people know Dalat, which is why this place is still quite an insider. The city itself is also very cute and colourful. It is very charming in the way it was built and it has many green spaces to hang out at. It’s really nice. Make sure to check it out and put in on your list of the 5 best places to visit in Vietnam.
The third one to put on to the list of the 5 best places to visit in Vietnam is Jungle Beach. Almost noone knows this place. It lies in the southeast of the country and it is not that easy to find. It’s quite easy to get there, but almost noone has ever heard of it.
It is a small beach right next to some hills full of exotic trees. There are only a couple hostels and you literally won’t find any people there except of a couple that made it there somehow. I stayed at a very nice hostel at the end of this white sand beach, which is managed by an old Canadian dude. He is very cool and the location itself is very nice. Everything is really basic. You’ll sleep in bamboo huts right next to the beach, food is absolutely delicious and it’s one of only a few places in Southeast Asia, which is really peaceful. You’ll love it. Promised!
So, make sure to put it on your list of the 5 best places to visit in Vietnam.
The caves of Song Doong definitely have to be on the list of the 5 best places to visit in Vietnam, because it is one of the most impressive caves you’ll ever see/ out there on the planet.
Song Doong is one of the biggest cave systems on the planet and it has de
veloped over millions of years. The seling of some parts of the cave is higher than 200 meters and is has an overall size of more than 38,5 million cubic meters.
You can do various activities like climbing, zip lining, caving in the dark and much more. It’s just spectacular!
Make sure to go there and definitely put it on the list of the 5 best places to visit in Vietnam for sure!
Sapa or Bac Kan
The north of this country is truely beautiful and very, very remote. It needs to be under 5 best places to visit in Vietnam in my opinion, because I promise you will have rarely seen something as beautiful as that before in your life.
The whole landscape is almost completely untouched. You will only find a few people and a couple villages here and there. But that’s it. Sometimes the roads even come to an end, so that you can’t go any further unless you have the guts to do it.
