The beautiful Gold Coast of Australia

By on 4. Februar 2017

The beautiful Gold Coast of Australia is known all over the world. It is a perfect coastline to improve your surfing skills, hang out or to just have a good time. From crazy party places like Surfers Paradise and awesome surfing spots to wonderful sunsets. Everything can be found here…

The beautiful Gold Coast of Australia

I visited the beautiful Gold Coast of Australia, when I was living in a car with three friends. We had an awesome road trip along the East Coast of Australia where I have learned a lot of lessons about myself and travelling the world. The beautiful Gold Coast of Australia was always something I wanted to see since the idea of travelling started planting into my head. It is definitely a wonderful part of our planet and there is a lot to see.

The place where we stayed for a couple nights with our car

Beautiful Gold Coast of Australia: General information

The beautiful Gold Coast of Australia is a coastline of about 60 km along the East Coast of Australia. It lies 80 km away from Brisbane, which is the biggest city of Queensland. Nearly 600.000 people live in the area of the Gold Coast. Especially the subtropical climate and the fantastic beaches as well as surfing conditions attracted a lot of people. Back in the days it was a place where some aboriginal tribe had lived. After James Cook discovered the fertile area, civilization took over and started to grow.

Nowerdays it is very popular for travellers, backpackers and families. It is also important factor for the tourism industry. More than 10.5 million people go there every year. The whole area of the beautiful Gold Coast of Australia is perfectly built out in terms of transportation and tourist attractions. At Surfers Paradise you even find the highest building of the southern hemisphere – the Q1 tower. The temperature at this subtropical latitude is very consistent. It varies between 17°C and 31°C all year around. Perfect for sun worshipers 😉

Beautiful Gold Coast of Australia: What to do and what to see

As I mentioned before, there are a lot of cool things to do on the beautiful Gold Coast of Australia. You can either go for sporty/ active stuff or do the typical sightseeing tours. Either way is good, because what you will discover is pretty cool 🙂

One of the main things you have to do while you are exploring Australia is learning how to surf. The beautiful Gold Coast of Australia is a very good spot for that. There are various surf schools and or shops where you can rent a surf board to try it on your own. This coastline is known worldwide for its good conditions and it is perfect for beginners as well as pros. I have tried surfing there for the first time and I absolutely loved it. Surfing is such a great thing to do and you start to get to understand the Australian lifestyle more and more.

What else to see

Besides that you can have a look at the Gold Coast from above on the Sky Observation Deck, go to the Movie World, do a helicopter ride or visit one of many beautiful national parks in the hinterland. Two of these that I have to mention are the Lamington National Park and the Springbrook National Park. I have not been there myself, because I did not have enough time, but they suppose to be very cool. For people, who are into animals, I recommend to visit the Wildlife Sanctuary. They are just as beautiful as the ones that I have seen on Philipp Island.

If you are more into sporty activities, you have a lot of different opportunities. You can go kajaking, snorkeling, scuba diving, biking, hiking or drive a jet ski. There is also something for the more quiet people. You can find a lot of good cafès and restaurants, visit huge shopping centers or go to good wellness centers. And do not forget to eat fish (for example in the Fish House). Maybe one of the best fish based meals you get in whole Australia 😉

Does not really matter what you are into, the beautiful Gold Coast of Australia has something in store for everyone.

Beautiful Gold Coast of Australia: Highlights

The highlights on the beautiful Gold Coast of Australia are very hard to pick. Obviously, I can only tell from my point of view. Besides surfing and getting to know the real Australian lifestyle, I really liked Surfers Paradise. The sunsets I have seen there, where absolutely incredible. You can see some of them on my Instagram as well. Another attraction you have  to have a look at is the Sunshine Coast. So don’t miss out on that.

Something you should not miss, if you there during March, is the Quicksilver & Roxy Pro’s Gold Coast. It is one of the main events of the surfing world tour and it is cool to see something like that one time. You will meet a lot of nice people at an event like that. It will mainly be Australians, who love surfing and most of them will be very cool/ relaxed, because surfers are just that way usually 🙂

Party scene and cityscape

I also loved the party scene at Surfers. It is one of the biggest, maybe if not the most famous party area in whole Australia. There are countless of bars and clubs to go to. It is great. Especially for young people, who want to have a good time.

But the thing that impressed me the most is the skyline along the beach of Surfers Paradise. It looks surreal, but very beautiful. A good comparison would be Miami, which I picture to look the same way. Postcard material for sure!

So don’t forget the camera. Furthermore it is just a very special feeling to walk along the beach next to all these impressive skyscrapers. So whenever you are there, make sure to do so and try to soak up all the wonderful impressions you get…

  • Strolling through paradise... 😍👌🌴
.
Some places on our planet are just crazy beautiful .
It's almost impossible to describe the beauty and the feeling that you get when you walk around at beaches like this one 🌞
.
I could not say which beach of all the ones I have seen so far would be the best one, but all the beaches in El Nido are definitely top ranked 🌏
.
TELL ME: Where did you really feel lost (in a good way 😉) the last time???
.

  • Hello mate, how are you? 😀🐻🐾
.
Isn't that the cutest animal on earth?
.
What I can definitely say for myself is that they are easily the fluffiest I have ever touched 😍
.
And they are by far the most relaxed animals ever. Maybe because of all the eucalyptus they eat... 😉
.
TELL ME: What's YOUR favourite animal?

  • The door to Angkor Wat during sunrise 😍🌅
.
I love a good sunrise! Not only because of its enormous beauty, but mainly for the fact that it's the perfect symbol for a new chance 👌
.
A new chance to improve
.
A new chance to do something good
.
A new chance to bring value to the world
.
A new chance to walk towards the right direction
.
And ultimately and new chance to get the best out your life and make great memories!
.
Great Memories that you can tell grandchildren about in 50 years from now, which will teach them some valuable lessons for life 🙏

  • A perfect example of a unique city that can teach a great lesson❗
.
Spending some time in one of the coolest and most beautiful cities on the planet made me think about what an insane level of power, creativity and endurance humanity has
.
It's crazy what we are able to do and to build nowerdays. But it has always been like this ⏳
.
Prague is a really good example for that. A city full of thousands and thousands of details, wonderful buildings and historically important monuments, all built over a course of hundreds of years
.
And the required power, creativity and endurance the people needed is something that we all have within ourselfs 🔥
.
It's not only reservated for specific people or special human beings
.
Everyone has that in him/ herself ! 💪
.
It's just about recognizing these strenghts and letting them all out... 👊 and don't let anyone tell you any different!
.
I always say this (on my website as well) - travel is the best teacher. You just need to find the true values of it and adapt them to your everyday life 👌
.

  • What's the true value of home? 😍🍁
.
Pretty autumn views like this one from a nearby forest of my hometown Hamburg?
.
Maybe...
.
But not really. In my opinion it's something else
.
As much as I like travelling around, discovering new places, getting to know other cultures, meeting new people and seeing other types of wonderful landscapes, I just still never forget where I come from ⚓
.
Exploring the world as much as possible is great, but there is also a great value in appreciating your own Backround
.
The more I look around, the more I see young people like me, who want to escape from their home countries, just to wander around for as long as possible with no real intent
.
I think that's a big mistake! ☝
.
When the travel bug gets me again, I never JUST travel around to say:" hey look, I left things behind and went on the next big journey. Isn't that awesome???"
.
It is in a way, but not to much to be honest
.
When I go somewhere I always try to learn something new from the journey itself, the people or the culture AND THEN take it back home with me and use for my future
.
This why HOME is so important... Because it's the base where it all starts and Without home there would be nothing to ultimately come back and adapt your new skills to
.
So always make sure to appreciate home and where you come from 👌💪

  • I can already say, that exploring Nacpan Beach was one of the most beautiful things I have done this year even though there are still 2 months left... 😉😍
.
It's always fascinating to me how fast beautiful places like this usually become mass tourism spots
.
Luckily Nacpan Beach is still quite undeveloped and therefore one of the prettiest and most pristine beaches in northern Palawan in my opinion
.
Hopefully it stays like this for a long, long time ⏳🙏
.
If you have never been, I highly recommend to make this one of your next travel goals 😄

  • I don't know about you but I absolutely LOVE adventures❗
.
You know why?
.
Because they push you, they are fun AND you LEARN something valuable from them every single time 👊
.
One of the greatest adventures I have done in my life so far was a road trip through the center of Vietnam with my motorcycle that I called "Foxy Roxy" (I know that's weird 😅)
.
When I did it, I did not know what to expect, but my goal was to have an awesome time
.
I found out pretty quickly that it's gonna be a hard challenge: many locals didn't really speak English, roads have been in bad constitution, I got lost a couple times, my motorbike broke down 2 times, I freezed my ass off in the mountains and much, much more
.
So why was this adventure great then?
.
Because I LEARNED that you have got to keep pushing even if you struggle hard. You always have to keep going. Never give up. Keep moving and don't ever stop 💪
.
That's what I did, which is why I ended up having an amazing time: I saw awesome landscapes, met the friendliest people, found lost temples and ultimately learned an important lesson for life
.
ALWAYS keep pushing towards you goals EVERY single day and never give up
.
I AM CURIOUS: What is your biggest travel lesson??? 😊

  • There is a quote that says "if traveling was free, you'd never see me again" and this quote fits my attitude a 100%❗
.
My ultimate goal is to become free one day, financially and personally, so that I can travel to awesome places like banaue in the Philippines whenever I want 😍
.
Just being free of boundaries and the 9 to 5 lifestyle
.
If I had the chance, I'd probably travel the whole planet 🌎
.
Who's with me on this??? 😀

  • One of the best sunsets I have ever seen was on Koh Lanta in Thailand 🌅
.
I just love a good sunset and I know I am not the only one... 😉
.
So TELL ME: where was your favourite sunset at? 🌎
.
P.s. I am going to London in 3 weeks. Anyone who has some tips on what to do?
